So, it's been awhile. I apologize in the lapse of time since my last post and the present time...I really have no excuses....although I'm sure I could make up a few. I'll apologize also for not having any pics to post in this blog. We have 2 computers...one is on the blitz and has been for months now, the other, well, I can't figure out how to upload my pics from my camera (what can I say? I'm computer illiterate). Anyway, I thought I would give everyone some highlights of the Jollay crew for the past month or so.
Here we go...
**Bryan and Charity journeyed to Charlotte, NC, with her oldest sister and brother-in-law to see The Wedding Singer musical. Pretty awesome show and nice little getaway for the couples! (My sister also has 3 kids!)
**Celebrated Easter....chilly of course but nice overall.
**Erika is participating in Track & Field....she is long jumping and triple jumping until her heart's content!
**Erika also began softball (busy gal!). However, due to conflicting track meets and yucky weather, she's only practiced 2x.
**Erika has been selected for the National Junior Honor's Society. Her selection was based on a 3.5 cumulative grade point average as well as set standards in areas of leadership, service, citizenship and character. Formal induction is set for April 24. Needless to say, she's very proud as are her folks! WAY TO GO!
**Ben and Luke are still in school, going twice a week. Last week, their class took a bowling field trip. Sadly, I didn't tag along because, well, the boys have more fun w/out Mom :o( When Mom's around, they tend to become clingy and not want to participate. So I let go...and let them enjoy themselves.
**Ben and Luke are also enjoying the warmer days we've been having since Spring has arrived by playing outside. Riding Gators (their battery operated cars, not the real kind mind you), digging in the dirt, and getting into whatever they can find has been the extent of the past few weeks. They are sooo ready for the warm weather to get here and stay here.
**Charity is also enjoying the warmer days of the Spring and the boys playing outside as this has allowed her to read four books in the last month or so. 4 BOOKS! I can highly recommend Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen and The Big Stone Gap Trilogy (Big Stone Gap, Big Cherry Holler, Milk Glass Moon) by Adriana Trigiani. What better way to past the day....(don't ask what my house looks like due to the lack of time cleaning).
**Yard work has also begun with the arrival of Spring...we've done some mulching but have a bit yet to finish and Bryan's already mowed the lawn once. I'm looking forward to planting flowers!
**Bryan's staying busy working and finishing up some school work. He plans to apply for Physical Therapy school in the next few weeks and is finishing the last prerequisite classes he needs...keep your fingers crossed for his acceptance! Completion of the program will grant him his M.S. in Physical Therapy.
**The Jollays are hoping to have construction started on a 30' x 36' addition to their house by the end of the month! Looking forward to a new kitchen, great room, master bedroom and bath and deck by summer!
So, that's been what's going on with us here in Bluefield...exciting I know. But I didn't want you thinking I had forgotten about "Jollay Time."

Wow! It is great to catch up with you all! I can't wait to see pics of the new addition to your house - how exciting!
Since no one is posting, I'll just say that I enjoyed our outing to see The Wedding Singer.
